The nominees for the 2017 Shirley Jackson Awards have been announced! We’re pleased and honored that three Tor.com Publishing titles, Stephen Graham Jones’ Mapping the Interior, Margaret Killjoy’s The Lamb Will Slaughter the Lion and Tade Thompson’s The Murders of Molly Southbourne, were included in the novella category. Victor LaValle, author of The Ballad of Black Tom, was also nominated for The Changeling in the Novel category. Congratulations to all the nominees!

The Shirley Jackson Awards were established to recognize excellence in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and dark fantasy. They honor the legacy of Shirley Jackson, author of seminal works including The Haunting of Hill House and We Have Always Lived in the Castle. The awards are voted on by a jury of writers, editors, critics, and academics, and the awards will be presented on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Readercon 29 in Quincy, Massachusetts.
